Learn in a Year What Authors Learn in a Lifetime

A full year of direct coaching from a 10x New York Times Bestselling Author
on how to write, publish, and market your dream project

Learn in a Year What Authors Learn in a Lifetime

A full year of direct coaching from a 10x New York Times Bestselling Author on how to write, publish, and market your dream project.
Imagine yourself one year from now.
For the first time, you're fully committed to writing a book, a screenplay, or another project that's been weighing on your mind. You know this is something you need to complete to feel fulfilled, yet you keep putting it off. Or maybe you started it but set it aside, feeling it wasn't good enough.
So you sought mentorship from one of the world's most successful authors and storytellers, and learned all the best strategies, techniques, and knowledge he developed through rigorous trial and error. And through working with some of the best editors in the world. Learnings that allowed him to transform from an admittedly mediocre writer to a Rolling Stone contributing editor, New York Times columnist, and ultimately author of ten New York Times bestsellers, a #1 Audible exclusive audiobook, and a #1 iTunes podcast.
And over the following months, you worked directly with him every single week, set goals and deadlines for yourself, were regularly kept accountable, and received frequent feedback from Neil himself to make sure your book was as good as it could be. As a result, now you have a fully completed work of art in your hands, ready to be shared with the world.
And not only that—through Neil's connections, you've had the chance to send your book to an agent with a possibility of it being published. Or perhaps with Neil's help, you self-published so you could keep a much greater share of the revenue. Or maybe even optioned it for a film or TV project. Producers have offered to look at some of the work from this very Masterclass! This year is the perfect time to set new goals and commit yourself to them.
And Neil's resolution is to help you turn this dream project into reality!

  •  Words cannot express what your class did for me. I learned more about writing [during this time] than the last decade. It felt like I was talking with someone that understood why the writing matters. Someone who appreciates the art, and not just as a means to a monetary end. [My biggest takeaway was that] I realized I needed to stop taking the damn words so seriously. So I started enjoying the writing again, and I finished my first novel. It was the hardest thing I’ve ever written. And not because the writing was difficult. It was the subject matter. The healing. The tears. Days in bed hating myself. The smiles. The grace. Smiles. Even if the book never sells a copy, it healed me. And I couldn’t have finished it without you.

  • " When I first met Neil, I was an unpaid intern who had just left my career in finances to chase my dreams of being a writer. Under Neil's guidance, I've been able to turn a dream into a career. And Neil has been with me every step of the way, as I've worked with movie stars, pop stars, and world class athletes. I'm still growing as a writer, and I take comfort in knowing that Neil will be there to continue to help and guide me. He has a brilliant way of condensing a note into one sentence that can totally unlock a project. If you have the opportunity to be Neil's mentee, I cannot recommend it highly enough.

    — Ben S.

  • " It's just amazing the storytelling, energy, and creativity that comes out of this multidisciplinary writing mastermind. There is no one in the world who can pull together such an eclectic group of writers from all types of media (investigative journalists, non-fiction and fiction writers, screenwriters and songwriters). When I first heard that Neil was putting together a Writers' Roundtable, my first thoughts were 'It's a no brainer. Where do I sign up?'

    — K. U.

  •  Working directly with Neil has supercharged my writing career. With his mentorship, I went from writing blogs and web copy to A-list celebrity books. If you aspire to be a writer of any kind—either professional or recreational—I cannot overstate this: Dive headfirst into any opportunity to learn from him. Neil's teachings and feedback changed my life, and my entire relationship to this craft.

    — Chris S.

  • " I like how we started class one, writing a paragraph right off the bat to disprove writer’s block. That resonated and stuck with me throughout the process. Another huge one for me in the beginning, was about time management and setting up a schedule. Also getting rid of devices, social media, and any other distractions. This was an important lesson that I find myself returning tomorrow in my practice when I want to crack down, after being thrown off schedule for whatever reason life throws at us. Neil, I like how you reiterate that there “are no rules” in the creative process, whatever gets the job done for each of us, and it may be different. That was liberating for me. And it enabled me to drop all my schoolgirl worries and just write my truth.

    — Jennifer O.

  • ” I knew that if I signed up this year, I would actually write the book. I’ve been trying to write this by myself for three years. And I think by learning the process and having a mentor who is about the creation of the art too and not just “here’s how to write a sentence” or whatever, is deeply helpful to the parts of me I didn’t know was holding me back for three years. I just know that the book will be finished and go out into the world after this and I’m most grateful for who I’ve become in that process.

    — Kristy M.

  •  Thank you Neil, Scott,⁩ for everything, your priceless knowledge, wisdom and support. And thank you everyone here for being the catalyst in jumpstarting my book and being a part of this journey with me and each other. Reading your books while working on mine was such an empowering experience. All of you made it so easy to be vulnerable to share our heartwork. I never felt comfortable calling myself a writer until now. I realize that just the act of writing, finding our joy in some part of the process, and sharing our writing and receiving feedback is what makes us a writer. All of you are incredible human beings and writers and I’m so grateful to have read and be a part of what your heart wanted to share. And I’m so looking forward to seeing your works being published!

    — Colette P.

  •  Through this class, I was able to trust myself as a writer, as a person, and let a story write itself. The story was there. I had a story to write. And I needed to let it come out without judging it, without filtering it, or trying to make it perfect. So trusting myself in this process and surrendering perfectionism in my creativity and writing is massive… As much as this process helped me as a writer, it also changed me as a person. I allowed myself to be human and messy and constantly learning. And knowing that I will survive that and people are still going to talk to me and I’m still going to continue writing and the story is going to get finished and it will be better each time and I’ll be better each time. None of that would’ve been possible without a community of people that allowed me to be messy and also encouraged me to trust myself.

    — Corey B.

  •  I loved that we went into so many exercises, especially off the bat. It had a great mix of strategic mindsets for being able to write, compelling insights that improve creativity, and time to actually work on a specific project and make significant progress.

    — A. T.

  •  I received a Masters' degree with an emphasis on creative writing and had published before, so I was no newbie—but I can't overstate Neil's tutelage enough. You can be a total beginner, or you can think you're pretty darn good. Either way, Neil will teach you new perspectives and techniques that will completely transform your writing.

    — [Name Withheld]

  •  Just reflecting on the fact that the class began and ended with meditations, and what a wonderful set of bookends that was for this experience. First in pointing out the nonexistence of writer’s block, and last, connecting us to the courage we need to create the final product — and feeling the truth of its existence! Neil and Scott⁩, you created a powerful container for our creativity to flourish, and illuminated the path with your bright spirits. Thank you for all the thoughtful ways you designed this journey, and helped us to develop our voices along the way.

    — Shaun T.

  •  What had a huge impact on me is that I can write a book. I didn’t believe that before this. So just the commitment, the support from everyone, the guidance along the way—I’m not feeling like I’m lost. I’m now very confident that I can write a book and another, and another, and another.

    — Mostafa A.

  •  The power of this group. As much credit as I want to give to you Neil and Scott, the amount of deep insights and conversations that I’ve had with a bunch of people here have really helped me to be a better writer and the amount of generosity and extra support that has come from that has made this process, which can be painful at times, but has made it a shared struggle which has turned into a joy and am very grateful to everybody here. And I hope—I know it will continue well after these official group sessions.

    — Justin G.

  • " This has been a life-changing course because it changed the way I perceive reality, perceive my day, perceive stories, and just see any painful moments in my life as material.

    — Kyle T.

  •  During this process and many of you in this group and your writings have been a tremendous help to me… in reading your stories on how you have overcome challenges and supported and loved your families I have found strength. I mean that. This group is a rare thing and I am grateful for you all. Thanks Neil and Scott.

    — Chris J.

  • " I never thought I'd see such fast progress, not in me but in everyone, in such a short time period. It’s amazing.

    — Tom P.

  • " My best decision of 2021 was to join Neil Strauss' Writers' Roundtable.

A Unique Opportunity...

Over the last few years, Neil has had the chance to support many close friends as they received publishing deals and started writing their own books.
This wasn't because he was doing them a favor, but because he thought their work was good enough for a mainstream audience.
While many of them were reluctant to do so and found the process difficult, every single one of them ended up being proud of the results. And happy they finally finished and shared their projects with the world.
Privately, this is something he had always wanted to offer to more people, but between raising his son, writing his own books, solving missing persons cases for his podcast, organizing Society intensives, running his weekly private coaching groups, and co-authoring celebrity memoirs...
...it is not something he was ever able to fit in his schedule.
That was, until the year 2020.
Due to the many shifts triggered by the pandemic, Neil found himself with a rare opportunity to answer that call.
He picked a small group of people out of hundreds of applications.
And over the next year, he helped them find and refine their creative ideasread their work and gave them frequent constructive feedback on itintroduced them to his own publishing agent and book designershared marketing secrets that never failed to create excitement for his books, and even personally edited parts of their book.

 These are just

a few of the accomplishments from past members

over the last few years of running this Writing Masterclass...

Amy C. after she got a publishing deal through Neil, doubled her initial offer and got a six-figure deal for her book, and she's now about to sell her second book.
James P. for recently having his first-ever manuscript reviewed by a professional editor (whether you decide to release the book yourself or find an agent, it's such an awesome concept and I can't wait for people to read it!)
The celebrity with no idea how to use a typing software (you know who you are) for deciding to ditch their ghostwriter, crush their book themselves, and still submit to their publisher ahead of schedule.
Andre W. for publishing a five-star book that's helping people travel the world like a pro.
R.S. Moon for publishing a hilarious memoir on the dark side of personal development.
Émilie M. and Shannon M. for both publishing books in 2022 after attending the initial Masterclass to set themselves up for success.
Derrick H., who's set to publish a book this Summer that will transform the lives of people struggling with chronic pain.
Every single person in the group was personally mentored by Neil himself, and watched him personally edit their work to help them craft the best story possible.
And that's just a small glimpse of everything that happened...
After watching everyone transform into brave artists and create such amazing books...
The process was so intensely rewarding for Neil, and so educational for everyone involved, that the year flew by and the members didn’t want it to end. And neither did he.
So, if you have a dream of writing a book or another project, but you're struggling with limiting beliefs and having trouble either starting or completing it...
...dragging an old text file with the seeds of your project from one laptop to another, which you haven’t made a big enough dent in for years
The Writer’s Roundtable is a powerful way to honor that dream and stay accountable to realizing it, while not only ending up with work you love and are proud to share, but with a life-long squad of fellow authors and advocates.
Most importantly, this will be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to work on your writing project directly with a 10x New York Times bestselling author...
As he transfers everything he's learned about the writing, editing, design, publishing, and marketing parts of this process from his head to yours. And guide you through the process of getting that book out of your head and onto paper.
 Because the fact is...

 In the creative arts,

Personal mentorship with an expert beats college coursework

Neil spent some time looking over University-level writing courses.
What he found was not very encouraging.
Not only did the majority of them overly focus on the mechanics...
…spending way too much time on developing perfect grammar and using advanced vocabulary.
But most were outright restrictive to the creative mind.
Some prevented their students from writing certain literary genres entirely...
While others provided a long list of subjects that students were forbidden from writing about, including zombies and vampires, time travel, anything that touched on sexuality or violence, and even serial killers with childhood trauma.
Serial killers without trauma were evidently fine, though.
Some courses even discouraged their students from ever giving their book a surprise ending, or even to write on a subject that had already been explored by other authors.

This was incredibly upsetting to see...
How many people were told to abandon their dream, censor their writing, ignore their passion, and then finished these courses with even more self-doubt than before?
This only made Neil more determined to create something that would make a positive difference in the world of writing.

  A radical method to

 Improve your writing and creativity

After working with some of the world's most creative minds, from fellow #1 best-selling authors, to Grammy winning artists, Oscar winning actors, and the biggest entrepreneurs in the world.
Neil realized that one of the things they all had in common was that they had a mentor early on who encouraged them to believe in themselves and to trust the creative process.
Good writing is NOT about adhering to strict rules of grammar, using elaborate vocabulary, or even planning every intricate detail of your story ahead of time.
It is about planting a seed, and allowing that seed to grow into a beautiful work of art without trying to control it or force it to be something it does not want to be.
You may start with an idea for a story, project, or characters. But as you start working on it, you will find that all of its pieces will begin to develop a life of their own.
This is when your project may take an unexpected turn, and start moving towards places that were unexpected... even to you.
Just like a playful and spontaneous child, nurturing these qualities and giving them the space to grow will often lead to amazing results.
But if you try to repress this spontaneity, and let fear, self-doubt, and the opinions of others get in the way...
You'll often see them lose the unique qualities that made them so engaging and lovable in the first place.
This is part of the deeper paradigm shift you will experience and integrate as part of the Writers' Roundtable, and which act as the foundation for Neil's proven writing strategy.
Over the course of this program, Neil will transfer the knowledge from over two decades of creative success into your mind and your fingers.

Along with hands-on, experiential exercises that will take you deeper into:

Conceiving powerful ideas that you're passionate about.

Most importantly, you will work directly on your dream project and massively refine it over the course of the year!
check_circle
And so much more.
This will not only change the way you write, but also significantly transform how you experience your own life.

But this is not just about writing!

Most of you shared that the one thing keeping you from starting your project was your busy life.
When Neil started planning this project, he wanted to make sure this would never be an issue ever again. So, as part of this process, he will also teach you:
check_circle
How to create healthy boundaries that will ensure you can fully concentrate on your work.
check_circle
How to set helpful deadlines that will push you towards success, rather than paralyze you with pressure.
check_circle
How to improve your focus, so that you are less distracted by everyday tasks, social media, time sucks, and your own worries.
check_circle
How to design a writing environment that will enhance your creativity.
check_circle
How to gain a true mastery over your own time and schedule.
check_circle
How to break free of the inner obstacles often stopping you from starting or completing your writing project.
check_circle
And much, much more, including how to change your perception, problem-solving, and inner experience to improve your outer writing. Because your work can't look any better than the way you see the world.
Neil has put more than 40,000 hours of his life into writing, and into studying the creative process.
This means he has already made all the mistakes, has gone through all the pain and struggles to figure out what it takes to be successful, and is going to share all this with you...
So that you can reach the same level of success without all the pain, and without spending three decades to reach the same lessons.
And this will not only be an opportunity to learn from someone who has truly mastered the art of writing and storytelling...
...it will also give you a rare opportunity to become a more organized person, as well as learn a successful routine that will help you create your book, write your masterpiece, and share your story with the world.
